Why did I create compassion cards?

In 2021, I was trying to understand what it would mean if I was my own best friend. What I found was that it wasn't easy. It was easy for me to show up as a caring, and loving person to others, even strangers but not to self. So, I wanted to know how others were able to show up for themselves. I ended up writing 35 questions on self-compassion on a deck of playing cards and started talking to strangers. One of the earliest question was 'What would someone who cares for you, say about you?' To my surprise, very few were able to have an answer ready.

I observed that it isn't natural for everyone to speak and relate with themselves in a loving way as they would with their friends. That's when I thought this deck of cards could add insights and learnings to everyone.
How did they evolve?

Started with 35 handwritten compassion prompts and questions on playing cards.

300+ experiments later, a limited First 100 Patrons' Cards were born.

Who tried it?

30+ people bought across 3 countries with 'Pay what you want' pricing. 10% of the cost went to relief for acid attack survivors.

Where are we now?
Since 2021, I have play tested the cards with 1100 strangers in cafes in goa, and at my apartment in groups of 4-5.

They have seen many iterations in design and game dynamics but the central idea of relating to oneself, others and the planet through a lens of compassion has remained.
The deck has slowly grown to 208 cards that I call 'the complete discover pack'

The idea is to discover a different way of relating to oneself, others, and the planet.

I want to raise funds. You can support by pre-ordering the cards here. As soon as I have enough money to send for production, I will. The goal is to raise INR 2,00,000. I hope that is possible by July 2025 so that by October/November 2025, I have shipped the cards to you.
